My Personal Scam Story: There is a scam out there that I think everyone should be aware of. Let me tell you about my personal experience with it. As someone who frequently travels to California by car and passes through tolls on my way back I was stunned to have come across this scam. Typically a toll fee will come in the mail a couple weeks after passing through. In this case I received a call from my Mom telling me she had paid my toll. I asked how and she said through a text she received. At that moment I felt like something was fishy, that is because FastTrak does not send texts and my Mother had accidentally sent money to hackers posing as a toll payment. It was good that we were able to catch it in time and dispute the payments made. I would like everyone to know about this possible scam because it can be very believable and cause harm to people.
